Hole 8

Up to this point, the players will be doing well if they're holding their own with the golf course. The eighth hole presents an opportunity to get one back. Two large mounds in the landing area are topped with deep rough. If the tee markers are back it will be a 250-yard uphill carry to fly the second one and a ball that lands in this "cabbage" will most likely remain there. The big hitters will likely ignore it all and attempt to blast one within pitching distance of a flat, irregular green. However, you had better keep it straight as balls hit into patches of thick fescue on either side of the fairway will often lead to a bogey.
